About Us
Rania Horaitis and Heather Howard have over 13 years experience in organizing conferences for Societies and Associations.
Rania
who has a Science degree found her role as a Senior Research Officer
led her to manage and organize conferences for a Society; the Human
Genome Variation Society and also other conferences. Heather
with a background in Management found her role as Executive Officer in a
Research organization led her to organize conferences.
Together,
they realized that most event organizers do not understand the
peculiarities of a scientific meeting and so undertook to manage and
organize all the events themselves. These events ranged from 1-5 day
conferences all requiring liaison with many international delegates.
These conferences have been organized all over Australia in locations such as Couran Cove, Cradle Mountain, the Barossa Valley and even Broome as well as many international conferences in locations such as Santorini, Greece and Barcelona, Spain.
Due
to the success of these meetings, some delegates requested that we
organize a meeting for their Society/Association and so Meeting Makers
was born to serve this niche. Of course, we can arrange an event for any
group.
